With A Sincere Heart

To My Father, My Creator...

Words cannot express the Gratitude I have for You, for loving me the way that You do.  You are the Light of my life.  You insert Yourself into my life, with such ease... and I am guided, so gently.  It's a good thing that God is God, because if not, then there would be absolutely no reason to exist.

I have nothing but gratitude in my heart for You, God... for the roof I have over my head; for the shoes I have to wear, the clothing I have, the food I have to eat.  The love I am able to hold true in my heart.  Thanks to You, God, I am slowly but surely becoming a much better person.

I am getting there, but it will take some time.  My goal is to be like You, in a sense.  When I say to be like God, I mean to love others and not judge.  To help others.  To shine in God's light.  Things I would not have normally done, I do it now... because I ask myself, what would God do.  And I follow what my heart tells me to do.

I love You more and more each day.  It's a love that has no beginning and no end... and no middle either.  It's the type of love that's rare and often unseen.  Keep on loving me God, and in return, each day I vow to become a much better person.  Eventually, I will be almost as perfect as You are, Father.  In the meantime, I will continue to strive for greatness and keep trying to figure out what my purpose is.

In love and light... in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

With a Grateful Heart...

June 17, 2009

I stand before My Father.  With a grateful and thankful spirit, I demonstrate love to God each and every day.  With every breath that I take, with every move that I make... I give gratitude to God for creating me in order to do so.

You created me, and set me free... to explore, to learn, to grow.  You brought me into existence, because You, Father, were in existence... thus, I am simply an extension of You.  I exist because You do, and there's no me without You.  Individually, You crafted me, Father.  Bit by bit...  inch by inch.

I was the result of Your masterpiece.  I will do my best to serve You well, God.  I realize that I am on this earth to "Be Like You."  To treat others the way You would, to act the way You would.  That is the ultimate goal, and upon completion... then I have mastered not only myself, but I have found "Home."

I am Grateful to You God for thinking enough to do something like this.. (Creation).  Thank You for what exists.  I am grateful that I am a part of it.  There's no end to me, thanks to You.

In Love and Light...

Your best friend, Wanda

God, I Thank You! I am Forever Grateful!

May 27, 2009

My God...  My Father...  My Love.

The gratitude that lives in my heart for You, is astounding!  It has no limits.  It has no beginning and it has no end.  Each day, whether I am fully aware of it or not, I am truly Grateful!

Why?  Because I know that while on earth...  I am God.  And when I return to the Spirit World, via Death... I am God as well.  I return to the Beautiful Light that I once was.  So yes, Father!  Yes, God!

I am Grateful to You for affording me this opportunity to experience Earth, in this body, as You.
I am Grateful for each day I wake up, in Your Loving Grace and Charm.
I am Grateful for the things I am not even aware of, simply because I know that they exist.

God, You Created God... via Me.  You recreated Yourself.  You Extended Yourself... and that extension produced me.  My Soul.  My Spirit.

I am Grateful to You for coming up with a way that God can cause God's Light to become brighter.  When I shine, God, so do You.  When I excell, God, so do You.  When I do good... when I cause another person happiness, Your Light Shines brighter.

The better I am, as You... the brighter Your Light Shine.

I am Grateful God, for recreating Yourself... for dividing Yourself... for extending Yourself... which in effect, produced me.

Thank You God... for Creating Me, through You, as You... walking the Earth, learning and growing.  My Soul is learning.  My Light is Your Light.  I am shining God because I know that I am You.

In Love and Light...

Your best friend, Wanda

The Power of Gratitude

April 25, 2009

When we worry about what we do not have, we forget and thus lose all the wonderful things we do have. Ken Keyes calls this "The mosquito effect". If there are ten mosquitoes in a room, and we manage to eliminate nine of them, we will still be annoyed by the remaining one. If we have ten problems and solve nine of them, rather than being grateful for the nine solutions, we worry about the remaining problem. Or if we own ten objects and lose one of them, rather than being grateful for and enjoying the remaining nine, we will be discontent about the one we have lost. If we have ten desires and fulfill nine, we will focus on the one which has not yet been fulfilled.

We have so much to be grateful for and yet gratitude is a rarely felt emotion. This is especially true if we compare our lives with 80 % of those sharing the planet with us. We would all benefit by realizing how blessed our lives are. Sharing such positive feelings of appreciation and gratitude and joy also enrichen and beautify our environment and the lives of those around us.

A simple technique is to spend a few minutes each day thinking of or listing those aspects of our lives which we could be grateful for. Even the most taken for granted simplicities of life such as running water, a warm home, friends and family can be sources of joy when seen through such eyes.

Some have even developed the ability to feel grateful for ordinarily unpleasant experiences and even for injustices because they often offer us the opportunity to develop inner strength and deep insight into ourselves and life itself.

What could we feel grateful for?

* The sun which warms our bodies and manifests food for our sustenance.

* All foods, fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and beans which give pleasure to our taste and vitality to our bodies.

* For the animals the cows, sheep and goats who give us their milk.

* For all others animals who our companions on this earth.

* The beauty of nature around us; the trees, grass, the blue of the sky, the sea and rivers in which we bathe and are refreshed.

* The water we drink and which we use to clean our bodies, clothing and homes.

* Our comfortable homes that protect us from the extremes of nature - not all beings have such comfort as we.

* Our clothing which protects and warms us.

* The air we breathe which gives us life force and joy.

* For our families whom we love and who love us.

* For all our friends and relatives, and even the strangers, who we are eventually befriending.

* And even for those who test us and teach us many lessons and strengthen our character.

* For books, magazines and films which inform us.

* For all the sciences, philosophies, religions and psychology which help us to understand ourselves and the world around us.

* For all the teachers and spiritual guides who show us our way Ð who we are and can become.

* For the telephone and internet which make communication so easy and unite us.

* For cars, trains, boats and airplanes, which help us learn and grow into one world family.

* For all the machinery and technology which liberate our time and energy for greater mental and spiritual development.

* For the farmers who work to provide us with food.

* For all professions as each plays his and her part in our social fabric.

* For the rain and all the conditions which make the food possible.

* For these bodies and all their capabilities of perceiving and acting so that we may enjoy and participate in this lovely world.

* The ability to hear, see, taste, smell and feel.

* The ability to walk, run, dance and work.

* The opportunity to rest, relax, sleep, dream and fantasize.

* The ability to create, sing, whistle, hum, write, draw and to solve problems.

* The ability to think, wonder about life and learn about life and after life.

* The various systems of exercises and techniques that keep our bodies healthy and our minds clear.

* For meditation, contemplation and prayer.

* For spiritual wisdom which helps us view life in a more objective and relaxed way.

* For the inclination to improve ourselves to become better human beings.

* For the will power with which we transcend our lower nature and mature into beings of love, light and wisdom.

* For the discontentment and problems of life through which we are tested and grow.

* For difficult situations and difficult people, who are opportunities for us to enable our inner strength and self-confidence.

* For our fellow seekers of a better life for all.

* For life and also for death, through which we learn the meaning of love.

* For the death of the loved ones which teaches us to become more spiritually centered, more concentrated on the soul rather than the body.

* For the death of our own body which reminds us of our temporary physical nature and immortal spiritual nature.

* For our gain and loss, pleasure and pain, joy and depression so that we may eventually learn to transcend them in our realization of our inner bliss.

* For "good" and also for "evil" which enable our discrimination, wisdom and love.

* For Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, Rama and all the prophets and sages who bring messages of truth, love and peace.

* For our awareness of the divine within all beings and actually at the very center, the reality, the foundation of our being.

* For the desire to merge once again with the divine.

* And, finally, for the ability to be thankful.

My Gratitude Deepens

April 17, 2009

Father,

My love for You grows deeper and deeper each day!  I never knew that Love could run this deep.  Before I found You, God... when I heard the word, "Love" I didn't make much of it.  I related it to a passing feeling, or a feeling I had or thought I had for someone else.

But when it comes to the Love I have for You, there isn't a word out there that can describe it.  It is as if, when connecting Love to You, that it is a bottomless pit.  That there is no end or beginning to this word; to this feeling.

I never knew Love until I knew You.  I never fully understood Love, until I understood You.  I never really thought about it that much, until my thoughts focused on You!  You are Love!  I've figured that out.  I know that now.

God is Love!  And because God is Love, I am Love as well.  No, I don't speak of just the word, but the feeling; the warmth in my heart, just thinking about You.

You formed me, from You.  I am a part of You.  I am an extension of You, God.  While down here, on Earth, I am learning on Your behalf.  What I learn, You learn.  What I feel, You feel.  What I see, You see.  What I hear, You hear.

I am You, and You are Me.  I understand that now, Father.  And knowing this makes life that much easier.

As a Soul, I am to shine because when I shine, God's Light becomes brighter.

I will never forget how You came to Me, and how I finally understood that it was, indeed, You!  Thank You, God for giving my Soul the opportunity to experience the lives I have experienced.  Thank You for thinking that much about Me, that You sent me away... from You, so that "We" could grow and learn.

I will forever be Grateful to My Father for the Love You have instilled inside of me.

Gratitude to The Love of My Life: God

March 31, 2009

To My Heavenly Father...

God, I remain forever grateful and filled with gratitude for Your Presence in my life.  It's so extreme and it's so real!  Every single day, there You are; it never fails.  If I could tell people all that You do for me and have done for me, they would not believe it.

I have come  to terms with the FACT that an invisible force is sustaining me.  God, You insert Yourself into Lives.  You do this; You do that.  You are present more than I could ever imagine.  I see the messages, I hear Your words.  I see the action you continue to take in my life.  I notice all the things that You do.  You can work small or You can work big... although Your work is usually HUGE!

Sometimes, God, I walk around trying to figure it out.  It's almost like science fiction; it's supernatural.  It's almost unreal.  If I didn't know You, I wouldn't know what to think.  But I have experienced first-hand the Work of God; the Hand of God.  You talk and You talk and You talk.

You never stop talking; You never stop working; You never stop inserting Yourself into lives.  It's almost as if this is the reason You exist... to look out for us; to look over us.

Thank You Father!  Thank You so much God for being a Talker, for being Nosy, for being Involved, for being Busy.  Thank You for being You!!!

God, I Will Learn To Accept People As They Are

March 28, 2009

You need good light to make a movie, is it not so? And then you need good darkness in which to show it. Isn't it funny? The cameraman says, "Oh, there is not enough light; we can't take the picture." But when they want to show the film, they turn off all the lights. So, what is important for a movie? Both. Light to take it, darkness to show it.

The minute you learn to respect and see both sides of the coin as equally good, you can enjoy both. You never hate anything. It is only a matter of your understanding and acceptance. Then you enjoy everything in life. Everything! There is nothing that is terrible, bad or negative in this life.

Let us have that light of understanding. Accept things as they are, people as they are. Don't demand anything. Don't put conditions: "Only when you do this does it prove that you love me." Rise above all this. Our attitude, our approach, our love should be unconditional. Simply accept people for what they are, as they are. Learn to love everyone and everyone will love you, no doubt. Then, life is worth living. The world becomes a heaven on earth for you.

A SIMPLE PRAYER BY ST. FRANCIS

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred... let me sow love.
Where there is injury... pardon.
Where there is discord... unity.
Where there is doubt... faith.
Where there is error... truth.
Where there is despair... hope.
Where there is sadness... joy.
Where there is darkness... light.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek.
To be consoled, as to console.
To be understood... as to understand.
To be loved... as to love.

For
It is in giving... that we receive.
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned.
It is in dying ... that we are born
to eternal life.

Thank You Father... for my father

March 13, 2009

Lord, I am Grateful to You for the Love You continue to give to me.  I am Grateful for You placing in my life and on my path, my father, who is now in heaven with You.  He's funny, God.  He'll have You laughing up a storm.  He was a strong man, Lord.  He was a provider, but he was also very stern.  Maybe it was for our own good, maybe not... but he was a fighter.

God, he is with You now.  I know You were happy to have Your Child return home.  He was the channel in which I came here, Father, and for that I am forever Grateful.  Please tell him that I said hello and that I love him.  Please tell him that I am ecstatic that he has completed his journey, while the rest of us remain on that path, heading where he he is.

Father, my father is in no more pain and he is in the best possible place.  I love him with all of my heart and soul, God.  And most importantly, I love YOU with all of my heart and soul.  Words can't begin to express how deep my love for You is, God.

You comfort me when I need to be comforted.
You advise me when I need to be advised.
You love me every second of the day, every hour, every minute.  Your love never cease to exist.

God I am Grateful to You forever and ever.  I will do my best to shine in Your light during my journey.

In Love and Light.  In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen!

Your Child and Best Friend, Wanda
